Great Client Reference

We're really fortunate to get to play music for great folks all throughout the year.  As a band and as individuals, we never lose sight of that fact.  In many cases, we're performing at wedding receptions and we're always focused on delivering a great experience.  We do receive some great "thank you" notes from many of our clients.  Some of these notes truly humble us.  It's very gratifying to know that we helped in some way to make an event a special occasion.  The following email was just received and the family hoped we'd share it on our website.  Here it is.......

Many thanks to Brandon and Melissa Boothe, their family and friends for extending such hospitality and kindness to us.  We sincerely appreciate it and again, we are very happy that the reception met and exceeded their expectations.  We wish them the best of luck as they begin their new life together.  Thanks so much!

My husband and I, plus family members, wedding party, & I strongly believe all guests in attendance at our wedding, would definitely give White Chocolate an EXCELLENT, OUTSTANDING review!!!!  They were absolutely wonderful and made the evening a perfect one!!!  All band members were very well-dressed, happy & smiling, so much fun yet very tasteful, and extremely talented!!  We knew from other reviews that they were a talented group vocally and instrumentally, but their musical abilities went far above & beyond our expectations!!!!!  For weeks now after the wedding, we continue to get lots of compliments on great the band was...how amazing the guitarist was, etc.!!

Happy Holidays From WCB!

New Videos

Hello,

Just a quick note..... there are a couple of new videos up on our media page.  A clip from Atlanta and Fripp Island, SC.  Have a look.......

Thanks!

WCB Needs Your Help

Hello everyone,

WCB will be releasing a new feature length video in 2012.  For the last several years we've been compiling video, photos and recordings from many of our shows around the Southeast.  We have some great material to choose from but we'd like to reach out to our clients and industry professionals to see if anyone has more video and/or photos that we could use for our new project.  If you feel you have something we could use, please get in touch with us through our Contact page.

Also, if you are a past client and would like to be featured in our new video, please contact as well.  We would love to hear from you and share your experiences in our upcoming project.  In the meantime, you'll soon see some new YouTube videos show up on our Media page and our YouTube channel.  Some new audio will also be added to our website very soon as well.

We've got some great things happening for 2012 and beyond.  We're excited about those things and we can't wait to share them with you.  Thanks for stopping by our site.

Fall has Fell

Temperatures are falling in the Carolinas and our schedule is heating up.  This past weekend begins a 10 week run for us that will see us as far north as Richmond, VA and to the south, Atlanta.  October continues its tradition of keeping us quite busy.  We look forward to playing many types of events for some great audiences.

Speaking of great audiences...... we'd like to thank the Campbell and Cooke families for showing us fantastic hospitality this past weekend.  Kevin and Kailey's reception was held at Myers Park Country Club and it was a barn burner.  A great evening all around with lots of happy smiling, dancing and singing faces.

MPCC has a new event coordinator and she is doing a great job.  Her name is Karen Littleton and we look forward to working with her again very soon.  She sent a kind note on Monday:  Frank,

And thank you! – It was a pleasure meeting you and the other band members and great to finally hear you guys play.  You put on a fantastic show and I had numerous individuals approach me with compliments on the band.  Look forward to your next “gig” at MPCC!!

Johns Island, Charleston

We're really fortunate to get to the Charleston, SC area many times a year.  We've developed some great relationships there through the years and we've enjoyed playing at most of the venues in the area.  Over the last 10 years, we have exclusively played private events in the area.  But, before we immersed ourselves in the private event market, we played the clubs in the area frequently.

This weekend marks our first public show in the area in many years.  Friday evening we'll be at Freshfields Village in Johns Island from 6-9pm.  We'll be performing outdoors and this will be a very family friendly event.  If you are in the area, please try to make it out.  We would love to see you!

We play again Saturday in Charleston at a private event.  Thanks for stopping by and we'll see you in Charleston.

Alive After 5 Charlotte 6-2-11

Special thanks to Adam Shirah and Rachel Johnson for these photos.

Thanks to everyone who came out last Thursday for the Charlotte Alive After Five event.  Despite the heat, it was a great time and it was great to see many of our friends and family there.  We have more photos of this event on the way.  Again, thanks very much.

Latest Happenings

We just wrapped up a very busy week - 3 shows in 4 days.  We visited Kannapolis, Florence and Fort Mill.  The lunchtime Kannapolis show was incredible.  Great weather, excellent audience and the band wasn't shabby either!  Seriously, the city of Kannapolis deserves a lot of credit for putting on such a great event on a weekday in the middle of the afternoon, no less.  We really recommend attending one of their events if you can.

Florence was great.  The Oakdale Country Club is one of the oldest we have ever been  to, but the people there were great.  We finished off the week at a barn-like venue in Fort Mill that shall remain nameless.  We've played a lot of places throughout the years and that was one of them.  You may want to check with us before booking your wedding reception in Fort Mill.  Just like the Farmers Insurance guy on tv says......"moving on!"

This Thursday we'll be playing the Charlotte Alive at Five event at the Epicentre.  The event runs approximately from 5-9pm.  Great fun for the entire family and you can make it home before the news comes on!  We hope to see you there.  Thanks for reading and have a great week.

Spring/Summer 2011

It's hard to believe that we launched the updated WCB website one year ago this month.  Our original site served us well for nearly 7 years.  The current site has been remarkably well received and we have appreciated all of the positive comments.  We also appreciate the comments that suggest changes to certain sections of the site.  If you have any suggestions, please feel free to send them along to us from the Contact page.

We have some interesting things and ideas in the works.  We are currently working on a series of really cool medleys.  You will be surprised with some of the material.  New challenges are fun for us.  We can't wait to play the new things for you.  They will be popping up at various shows over the next few months.  We hope you'll join us.

We're working on new audio and video demos as well.  These will also begin to pop up on the site or YouTube channel over the course of the year.  With lots of material to choose from, it's a good problem to have but does take a bit longer to go through everything.

Public Shows Coming Up

Hello all,

We have some public shows coming up in the next few weeks.  Both outdoor family approved events with early start times.  We'll post more specific info in the next few days.  In the meantime, you can check out the Calendar page for the basics.  Thank you for stopping by.  Take care.

Seneca, SC

We'd really like to thank the Sertoma Club of Seneca, SC for having us back this year for their fundraiser.  Julian Davis and his crew throw a heck of party and we were thrilled to play for them again this year.  Also, we'd like to thank the entire staff of The Vault.  It is a great private event facility in Seneca.  They have converted a old bank into a great live music venue.  HIGHLY recommended if you are having an event in the Seneca/Clemson area.  Please tell them White Chocolate sent you.

sWe hope to receive some cell phone video of Julian singing a few numbers.  The man has a way with a song!  We hope we'll have a chance to hear him sing again next year.  As always, thanks very much for stopping by and feel free to drop us a line.  In fact, you can now sign up for our periodic Newsletter on our Links page.  We send one out 2-4 times a year depending on what's happening with us.

Thanks again for visiting.

Road Adventures

When you travel as much as we do, strange things are bound to happen.  For some reason, they always seem to happen in the Charleston area.  This weekend we suffered a blown transmission on our trip to Mt. Pleasant.  After a lengthy and expensive tow to Charlotte, a rental car for the band and other expenses, it was a challenging trip.  This is our second blown transmission in Charleston - the last time was '09.

Despite those issues, we still love the area and we will be back there soon.  For those of you in the Charleston area or just traveling through, we recommend these service providers.

Automotive Solutions - Ladson, SC 843-797-8482 - Ask for Joe Sandro

Rays Towing and Transport - Monck's Corner, SC 843-296-4016 - Ray Simmons

They are good folks and will take care of you promptly and honestly.  We hope you don't break down...... but, if you do...... you know who to call.

We'll see you soon back on "The I" as the road dogs call it.  Take care.

Happy New Year

We hope the new year is starting great for everyone.  We played for the great people of Seabrook Island, SC and had a barn burner of a show.  We would really like to thank everyone there for all of the hospitality.  We'll remember that one for a long time.

A few notes..... new photos have been added to the Photo Page.  Also, some general calendar and songlist updates have been completed as well.

We look forward to a great year of traveling, playing music and meeting interesting folks all over the Southeast.  We hope to see you soon.  Take care and Happy New Year!

2010 Coming To A Close

We are coming down the homestretch with 2010 and we are preparing for the challenges that 2011 will bring.  Our '11 calendar is shaping up nicely and today we just added our first booking for 2012.  Thanks Barbara!  January 2011 starts things off nicely for us.  We have a public booking at the One Mor Tavern in Concord, NC on January 15.  It's a great place with excellent food.  Come out and start the new year off with a bang.

Over the next few weeks, we'll be overhauling the Calendar page, updating the songlist and doing some general site housecleaning.  So, please check back soon to see all the latest developments.  Or...... sign up for our RSS feed, use the news reader of your choice (Google Reader is nice) and you'll get updates as soon as they happen.

We wish everyone the best for the new year and beyond.  As always, thanks for visiting our site and supporting White Chocolate.  Please be safe over the weekend!

All the best,
White Chocolate Band
Charlotte, NC

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays to everyone!  We hope your Thanksgiving was great.  It's December and it is back to work time for us.  We have a schedule of parties ahead of us and then back to Seabrook Island, SC for New Year's Eve.  The people of Seabrook have been big supporters of ours for years and we are thrilled to finally get a chance to play on NYE for them.  It's taken us nearly six years to get this date worked out!  We're happy everything fell into place this year.

2011 is shaping up to be a busy year for us.  We get rolling the first weekend in January with shows in Columbia, SC and Marion, Va.  If the Gamecocks football team keeps winning it could be a wild night in Columbia.  It's been 5 or 6 years since we played for the good people of Marion, Va.  They always kick off the new year in style. We are very happy to be playing for them again.

We are working on new audio and video demos at this time.  Some new material should be up on the site right around the first of the year.  We have some neat stuff to share with everyone so please keep checking back to see what we have going on.  Also, you can subscribe to our RSS feed (using a news reader of your choice - we suggest Google's News Reader) and get new info as it is posted to our site.

Sage's Wedding Blog

We were fortunate to play for Sage and Bryan's wedding reception recently.  They were a lot of fun to work with and their families and friends were a blast to play for.  The mountain setting was beautiful and we lucked out with the weather.  Sage put together a very nice blog and she was kind enough to mention us in it.  You might enjoy checking it out and noting some of her ideas.  It was such a stress-free reception with the emphasis on family and friends.  Again, it's always great to play for a close-knit group of folks.  To see her blog: http://sagebryanmountainwedding.blogspot.com/
